MALLORCA & MENORCA (BALEARIC ILANDS) (7 day Cruice) Day 1 Embark in Puerto Portals, having been collected at the airport by the crew. Puerto Portals is only 30 minutes by car from the airport and is situated on the outskirts of Palma. Depart Puerto Portals for the anchorage but is only safe in good weather conditions. Day 2 Cruise up to Porto Cristo which is a populair fishing an yachting harbour and include a visit to the caves of Drach and Hams. It is then a short cruise on up to Cala Ratjada, which is quite a lively port. Day 3 Cross to Menorca (20 miles), perhaps anchoring off the small Isle Del Aire for lunch and water-sports entering the harbour at Mahon for the night where one can either anchor or moor stern to at the Club Maritime.

Day 4 Cruise around the coast to the northern port of Fornells, which is a large unspoilt area of inland water with a deep, narrow entrance. It is a beautiful lacation with numerous anchorages. Day 5 Complete circumnavigation of Menorca to then make landfall at Pollensa on Mallorca, which has a deep bay surrounded by dramatic mountains. Perhaps anchor off the famous, five star, Hotel Formentor.

Day 6 Cruise down to Puerto de Soller (40 miles) which is another beautiful natural harbour surrounded by spectacular, mountain scenery. Perhaps in the afternoon take the tram to the old town of Soller, which is about 2 miles inland. Alternatively, continue on the Puerto Andraitx anchoring for a late lunch behind the Isla Dragonera and perhaps then stay there a night. Day 7 It is a very short cruise back to Puerto Portals in time to depart the yacht at mid-day.
